A healthy meal
Fresh Scottish salmon is a natural healthy choice containing many nutritional benefits, containing 20% more protein and less saturated fat than most meats (one portion = 50% RDA of protein). Salmon is a highly-digestible protein packed with vitamin A and carotenoids, which are thought to help prevent cancer; vitamin-B, particularly niacin, and vitamin-D, which helps the body absorb calcium.
Salmon is famously known for being an excellent source of polyunsaturated fatty acids, known as omega-3 fatty acids – these are the "good" fat, which have been associated with reducing heart disease and inhibiting the onset of inflammatory diseases.
